St. Luke's youth update

hey everyone,
Hope this week finds you well. Here's what's coming up at St. Luke's for youth ministry.
It's a fairly normal week:
1. Sunday school 9:30-10:30am
2. Youth group 5:00-7:00pm
3. Choir 7:00-8:00pm

On october 13th we have a different schedule planned. On your calendars it says that we are headed to sky zone trampoline park in the afternoon. Some of you have expressed concern about the safety at Skyzone. Thank you for sharing your concerns. We are looking into other options for that afternoon that involve less risk of bodily harm. We will still be going away from church in the afternoon, but I don't know exactly wear yet. If you have ideas I'd love to hear them.

Also, October 13-14 is our high school overnight. We will get you forms first thing next week. Parents and advisors let me know if you are available to help that night into the next morning.

Grace and Peace to you all.

Monday Update from the Mountain

Yesterday was a fabulous first day of projects on the mountain. These were one-day projects that ranged from yard work, large bush removal, porch demolition, preparing a trailer to be painted, and some stair building.

The spiritual theme of the day was from Romans talking about perseverance. We worshiped outside at dusk as the fireflies illumined our space.

Weather has been hot during the day and in the 60's at night--really quite beautiful.

Today we start our two-day projects which are projects that will take two days to complete.

Grace and Peace,
Phil and the Mt. TOP team.

Mt top is off and rolling

Liz, will you send this to the mt top list? Thanks. Phil

We have made it to the mountain! Every is safe and sound. Yesterday was spent packing vans, worshiping, orienting ourselves to a new camp, playing one epic challenge game thing, and sleeping to sweet hum of fans in the cabin.

Today yrgs are headed out into the county to do their first day projects.

Everyone is doing well and excited to get going!

Grace and peace,
Phil
