Youth Info at St. Luke's.

Hey everyone here's what's up for the next few weeks at St. Luke's,

January 27: Summer Trip registrations and deposits due. Click here for information and forms. Let phil know if you have any questions or need to talk about something. Do not let cost be the reason you are not coming with us this summer.

Sunday School this week:

Meet in Great Hall to help make over 10,000 sandwiches for the PW Sandwich project.

Sunday evening:

January 26: Youth Group will pack over 1000 race bags for the Tartan Trot. 5:00-7:00 @ Church. We will also be painting banners, and hanging signs in the great hall.

February 2: No Youth Group, thanks for all your help with the Tartan Trot.

Specific Jobs for Tartan Trot:

Help in the next few days/before the race:
*****Road Signs: The Sunday/Monday before the race we need a car who can put out the sings around the course informing people of the upcoming race. It takes about an hour or a little more. You would also be responsible for getting them off the course on Saturday and getting them back to church. It's easy and we can set them out with Phil. Let Phil know if you can do this. his email is: philbrown@slpres.org  The sooner the better.

Painting banners: if you have some time to work on banners for around church let phil know. you can pop by church and paint for 30 min or an hour would go a long way.

Cakes and Pies: If each of you made just one plate of cookies, one cake, or one pie we would be all set for this St. Luke's tradition of awards. We have runners come back just because of the baked goods we give away as prizes. Kim Fadel is coordinating these: his email is: kimfadel@att.net. This is an easy way to get involved.

Friday night before the race: we will have an open mic kind of night during dinner. We did the same thing last night. It's a great way to help provide a great atmosphere for our preface dinner. We would love for you to be part of that. Dorothy Kitchens is coordinating things there. Her email is: mikeanddorothy@comcast.net

We will also need help with the spaghetti dinner with dishes and cleaning up and welcoming everyone.

Register for the race if you are running here

Tartan Trot and youth ministry at St. Luke's

Hey everyone, We are only two weeks away from the Tartan Trot! Hooray. There is a crew of people who have already put in a lot of hours for this race. We are excited about the race and hope you are too. The money raised goes right back to us and we need your help.
If you are planning on attending a Summer Trip this summer you should be deeply involved in this event. Here's how you can get involved.

Sunday night youth group preparations: See the youth group emails about what we are doing each Sunday night before the race. We need all of you. We really need about 6 parents who can help this Sunday. Please let phil know if you can help the youth distribute fliers on the 5k course.
